Peaceful and unassuming, the cabin is located along a creek in a rural area of Hillsville, VA. Make a fire under the stars, enjoy a rainy afternoon under the covered deck or head out and explore local small towns.
The comfy living room has space to spread out while a wall of windows brings in natural light to the space. Outside the living area is the wraparound covered deck on three sides of the cabin.
The bedroom has a comfy king sized bed. The electric fireplace will keep you warm on a cool evening or there is a window AC unit in place to keep you cool during warmer months. The Roku TV and fast Starlink internet will keep you connected.
The private sauna is just off the back deck. Allow ~45 - 60 minutes for it to heat up or pre-set the timer to heat up at your preferred time.
The outside of the cabin is unassuming while the wraparound porch will welcome you once you step foot on the grounds. Take in the views and soothing sounds of the creek.
Arguably, the best spot to sit and relax is the front porch or the wraparound deck. Take in views and sounds of the babbling creek below you.

You'll enter the cabin to the main living space, which then flows to the kitchen, and then to the bedroom. The full bath is located ensuite to the bedroom.

- Bring along some firewood or charcoal if you wish to use the outdoor amenities. - The cabin is equipped with a mini-split heating and cooling system in the bedroom, providing a comfortable sleeping environment year-round. For cooler weather and chilly evenings, a heater in the living room helps keep the common area comfortable as temperatures drop. - Our wooded setting comes with wildlife, including most commonly stink bugs or Asian lady beetles, especially as the seasons change. While we do our best to keep them out, a few may find their way inside. It’s simply part of being tucked away in the mountains! - Sauna use is at your own risk. Follow all safety guidelines. - We stock basic supplies that should last a long weekend (bring more for an extended stay) - toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, towels, cooking essentials, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. - The creek has a steep grade to get down to so it’s recommended to view from the decks/yard. Enter at your own risk. - The driveway is gravel and runs along the hillside to get to the cabin. If you're used to rural roads you may think nothing of it, but if it's your first time on the driveway, you may want to arrive in daylight to acclimate. It's not very long but it does slope at an incline to get down to the cabin from the main road. There is only parking underneath a carport or just outside the cabin. Low profile vehicles are not recommended as the driveway can get bumpy at times. - There is a second cabin on the property. It is a separate space with a carport and large pine tree in between. The cabins share the driveway but rest assured, each have their own separate and private space. It shuts down during the winter months (usually around mid-November through early-mid March) but otherwise there may be guests at that cabin. *** County or State Wide Burn Bans or restrictions could be implemented at times due to Virginia's current state of drought which would prohibit use of the fire pit and potentially outdoor charcoal grill. Please search for Carroll County VA Fire bans or reach out prior to your stay if you want to confirm if any restrictions are in place. These are outside of our control and no refunds will be issued due to these restrictions. Any fines or penalties issued due to non compliance are the responsibility of the guest. All fires must be attended at all times.

No smoking or vaping inside the cabin. Additional cleaning fee of $500 will be applied for failure to comply. No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 2 people. No candles or indoor flames of any kind are allowed. Home is on well water and a septic system. Please be mindful of water usage and do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper (no sanitary products, no hair, no chemicals, no food waste, no coffee grinds).**Failing to abide by these rules may lead to costly repairs (guest will be responsible if rules aren't followed). Clean up after pets. Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages not considered normal wear and tear must be paid by guests and will be reported to Airbnb. Fire Restrictions & Burn Ban Policy** For safety and legal compliance, guests are responsible for checking current local fire restrictions, including any burn bans, before using fire pits, grills, or any open flames during their stay. If a burn ban or fire restriction is in effect, all outdoor fires and use of fire-related amenities are strictly prohibited. By booking and staying at the property, guests agree to comply with all local regulations. Neighborhood

The cabin is located in a quiet rural setting. There is one home located beside the cabin with a friendly neighbor who spends part time at that home and keeps to themselves. The property has wooded grounds on the other side of the creek so there are no other homes in sight other than the small cabin on the property.

Guest Access

The entire home is available for your use other than a locked storage closet located in the bathroom as well as a storage shed and closet outside. They will not be accessed during your stay and will remain locked.

Find us

There is flat parking at the bottom of the driveway for 2-3 vehicles. You're welcome to park in the carport or you'll see there is a parking area just outside the cabin with a walkway to the front door. The neighborhood is very rural. There is one restaurant within a 10 minute drive, otherwise, it is about 25-30 minutes to the nearest grocery store and other restaurants. I recommend grabbing supplies on your way in.
